Woohooz...I'm finally gonna get to watch Eric Clapton life...This would be the 2nd concert i've attended in my life..previously was the Backstreet Boys concert which was kinda disappointing as the audio system was absolutely terrible...Well not many people in our generation actually appreciate Eric Clapton...I had initially planned to catch the concert with my parents... But my dad as usual...insists on getting the $200 seats which i thought was too pricey so i decided to catch it with my NTU badminton team mate Hamon instead since we had both agreed to get the cheapest seats which still cost like $90... pricey pricey... but it was all worth it =D
We then decided to meet up for dinner first b4 heading down to the concert.
Having had early dinner at a chinese restaurant in marina square....we headed down to our ultimate destination....The concert of the year was to begin at 8pm... well we wanted to be sure that there was parking..so we were there 30mins ahead of time..
Here i am at Kallang Indoors Stadium... check out the crowd...Ekks its like 15 past 8 and the concert has yet to begin....
Finally... after like 1hr of waiting...the concert finally began at 8.30 pm....But i was still waiting....waiting n waiting for the one and only song that i craved for......Do you know what song tat is? If you're thinking 'Tears in Heaven' u're wrong.....ITS.........*drum rolls*
'WONDERFUL TONIGHT'
My heart just melted on the spot....though it didn't sound as good as on record... it was being played life afterall....How I wished Eric played that song again....It went by all too fast =(
Anyway, overall the concert was great... Though i didn't recognise quite a few of the songs played... i have to admit that the band of musicians were great... though i'm not an expert in this field... I could tell that they were fantastic.... The drummer was so energetic... and there was even a left-handed guitarist with a super long ponytail..my fren Hamon even asked me at one pt of time if the fella was actually male or female...LOL
I felt wonderful that very nite....looks like i've gotta earn some bucks to go to more of these concerts in future..... =D
